What EFVD Is
EFVD is a competitive virtual drift series on Assetto Corsa with organized events, judged runs, tandem battles and community entry through Discord.
EFVD is community-focused and looks for respectful, prepared drivers who want to develop and compete together. Performance under the published competition criteria determines advancement, results and prizes. If those criteria do not resolve a tie, EFVD applies the Competition Guide tiebreaker procedures. EFVD does not use chance-based prize allocation.

EFVD competition is run through Assetto Corsa and event-specific content.

Drivers qualify, advance and compete in tandem battle formats.

Event Participation
Event participation is handled through Discord announcements, event registrations, selected driver lists and event-specific instructions.

| Can anyone apply? | Yes. Any driver may submit an EFVD application. Approval is not automatic and does not guarantee entry into a specific event. |
| Can underage drivers apply? | Yes, but EFVD may request parent or guardian consent before participation. |
| Where do I register? | Once your application is approved, complete My EFVD. Register there when a round opens; Discord announcements provide links and updates. |
| What happens after selection? | Complete technical inspection, install event content, attend the briefing and follow event instructions. |
| What timezone are events in? | Event times posted in Discord display in each driver's local time. |
| What if I miss briefing? | Staff may refuse late drivers. If you are late or unsure, load in when your group is active and wait for staff instructions. |
| Can I leave after elimination? | Yes, eliminated drivers may leave unless staff asks them to remain. First, second and third place must stay for the podium ceremony unless staff approves otherwise. |
| Can I bring a spotter or media person? | Drivers may request spectator, spotter or media server access through Discord, but access is not guaranteed. |
| Can I use private voice chat? | Yes. Drivers may use private voice chat with a spotter or teammates, but must remain ready for staging and live calls. |
| Can I stream my POV? | Yes, if it does not disrupt event flow, leak restricted content or conflict with staff instructions. |
| Do I need a license? | No. You can apply without a license; Licensed Driver status is earned later. |

Cars and Technical Rules
Cars must pass EFVD technical requirements before competition. See the Technical Regulations for the full rules.

| Where are required files shared? | The official Car Tech Kit is public. Event-specific cars, tracks and private assets are shared through My EFVD or announced Discord channels. |
| Can I use any car? | No. Cars must meet eligibility, visual, file, physics and optimization rules. |
| Are controllers or keyboard allowed? | No. EFVD competition requires a wheel setup, and staff may request proof at any time. |
| What happens if event files are leaked? | Leaking, uploading, repacking or redistributing private cars, tracks or event assets can lead to a ban. |

Qualifying and Battles
Qualifying and tandem battles are the standard EFVD competition format. See the Judging Guide for the complete judging standards.

| How is qualifying order set? | Staff arranges groups and run order for event flow and show quality. Drivers must follow the posted order unless staff says otherwise. |
| How is the bracket built? | Standard events target Top 32 when possible. The official bracket is built from qualifying rank and shared through Discord or the event document. |
| How do battles work? | Drivers lead once and chase once in tandem matchups. |
| What do judges evaluate? | Line, angle, proximity, control, corrections, contact and overall advantage. |
| How is a battle won? | Judges vote after both runs. Majority vote wins, or OMT may be called. |

Restarts, DNF and DQ
Judges and staff control restart, DNF and DQ decisions during an event. See the Competition Guide for the event procedures.

| What is a DNF? | A run that is not completed, not chasable or loses enough judged value. |
| What can cause DQ? | Unsafe conduct, clear procedure violations or serious rule issues. |
| What should drivers do if unsure? | Complete the run and follow staff instructions. After the event, request a private Free Judging Clarification. It does not reopen or change the result. |

Licenses and Progression
Licensed Driver status is awarded through review. It is not required to apply and does not guarantee event entry. See the License Program Guide for eligibility and review standards.
Entry status
A driver in the application and review stage.
Approved non-licensed driver
An approved driver without a license who may register for individual events.
Reviewed driver
A driver with EFVD-reviewed competition status.

Money, Payouts and Sponsors
All EFVD financial amounts—including fees, payments, deposits, refunds, compensation and cash prizes—are in CAD. Partners help support EFVD events, media coverage and driver programs.
Revenue allocation
How registration fees, prize funds, staff funds, operations funds and sponsorship revenue are handled.

Conduct and Community
Drivers and community members are expected to communicate respectfully and use official channels for issues. See the Code of Conduct for the full policy.
